Tagua is sometimes called 'Vegetable Ivory' and is a seed from the Ivory Palm. In my experience it appears remarkably similar to ivory in look and constistency. The only limitation is the scale of work possible, which is determined by the size of the nuts themselves. These scans are close to 100%.
Because of the nature of Tagua burning, the pieces don't scan very well. I will try to rectify this for future additions.
All of this work has been pyrographed using special techniques. Some of the pieces have had colour added to them to accentuate the subject.

MY APOLOGIES FOR THE LACK OF CLARITY IN THESE JPEGS. TAGUA SCANS POORLY AND I'M CURRENTLY TRYING TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM.
IN ALL CASES THE ORIGINALS ARE MUCH CLEARER, MORE DETAILED AND OF A HIGHER COLOUR.
