| Tagua is sometimes called 'Vegetable Ivory' and is a seed from the Ivory Palm. In my experience it appears remarkably similar to ivory in look and constistency. The only limitation is the scale of work possible, which is determined by the size of the nuts themselves. These scans larger than actual size of the slices.
Because of the nature of Tagua burning, the pieces don't scan very well. I will try to rectify this for future additions.
All of this work has been pyrographed using special techniques. Some of the pieces have had colour added to them to accentuate the subject.
